Wordplay Wisdom's Asynchronous Coaching Program

Creativity doesn't keep office hours. Give your young writer access to creative support, any hour, any day.

Why Async Coaching

After years of teaching creative writing to gifted kids, I've learned their best ideas rarely show up on a schedule. They show up in the car, between classes, mid-homework, five minutes before lights out. They think quickly, in unbounded leaps and strides, and a scheduled weekly session often can't catch that. An always-open channel can.

Our Asynchronous Coaching Program gives you and your young writer a private coaching channel with me to help them keep their momentum without wrangling with their already packed calendar. Your channel stays open 24/7, ready for whenever an idea strikes, a question arises, or writers' block rears its head. I answer with personalized guidance based on my own experience as a writer, editor, and a teaching artist.

What's Included

  • A direct line to me, open any hour, any day
  • All your questions stored in a private channel for easy reference
  • Personalized guidance built around your writer's specific moment of creative development
  • Send up to three pages of writing for context with any question
  • Send up to five pages of writing for in-depth developmental and line editing (Critique tier only)
  • Full pricing transparency, always

How It Works

Message anytime. No booking, no countdown to the next session, just the opportunity for you and your young writer to get questions off your mind and into your indexed personal channel. I answer with the same care and attention I'd bring to a live conversation.

A coaching format designed to develop creative critical thinking. Every message starts with a quick tag telling me what kind of help is needed, and one specific question. What part isn't working the way you want, and why do you think that is? Naming the exact issue lets me give a sharper answer that is personalized to your young writer's goals and their unique voice. Questions are answered in order, since the first question almost always reshapes the next one. Building the habit of deciding for themselves what needs attention turns a talented budding writer into an exceptional one.

Video is preferred, but always optional. Because so much of writing is about emotion, hearing how you or your young writer asks a question tells me just as much as the words chosen. I usually answer with video, too, so you get all the benefits of a face to face conversation without wrangling with your calendar. Text is completely fine if video isn't possible on a given day.

What This Isn't

I don't work on school essays, college essays, or with reluctant writers. This is for young writers who already love words and want an on-call mentor who takes their craft seriously.

I don't provide live calls for asynchronous coaching. My live 1:1 bespoke mentorship program is currently full, but you can always join the waitlist here: [WAITLIST LINK].

Two Coaching Pathways

  • Asynchronous Coaching — $100/month: access to a 24/7 private channel with me. Ask questions, brainstorm, talk through strategy, work through a creative block, and receive customized resources. Built for writers who want steady creative support.
  • Asynchronous Coaching & Critique — $175/month: everything above, plus up to five pages a month of rich developmental and line editing from me, covering structure, pacing, voice, and syllable-level attention to language. Built for writers who want a fuller understanding of their own creative work from the line level.

Pricing, Always Transparent

My prices are always listed plainly, because part of Wordplay Wisdom's way of honoring families' time is ensuring you have full information rather than being blindsided after an extensive onboarding process.

Founding members lock in their rate for as long as they stay enrolled. Prices are the lowest they will ever be, so if you join now, you'll keep your rate at ground level.

Only ten founding spots are available. Ready to claim one?
